From Pfyshnet
08/25/2009 - I can't stay away from Pfyshnet. I've got some great ideas about improving performance, memory, and bandwidth usage. However, first I plan on doing a code review. It's been a while sense I've even looked at it, and I've forgotten a lot of the details. I figure I'll have a fresh perspective on it now, and I'll be able to see something I may have previously missed.
10/22/2008 - Our patron fell on hard times and has pulled the plug on the seed servers we were using for Pfyshnet. Pfyshnet requires at least 20 nodes to form the "base" of the network. Until we can achieve this again.. Pfyshnet is down. If you are willing to run a full time node or can sponsor seed servers let us know. (masequis - at - yahoo - . - com)
10/1/2008 - Our first beta release is available today!
9/15/2008 - GUI released! The newest release of pfyshnet features a GUI and auto-seeding. HAVE FUN!!
7/14/2008 - Forward Error Correction has been added to the latest release. Please upgrade your node.
7/8/2008 - We're currently in the process of adding Forward Error Correction to the client connector. This should eliminate the need for the GUI or the user to directly deal with it much.
6/13/2008 - The Pfyshnet network has been seeded, and is ready for use! See the Installation page.
6/9/2008 - Our initial "alpha" release is ready for download!!
6/7/2008 - Welcome to SourceForge! With the effort of moving a drunken elephant, we're moving everything to sourceforge for alpha/beta testing.
6/1/2008 - The simple user client is finished, and alpha testing is in progress!
5/28/2008 - The network client is finished. No test coverage analysis was done, but it's fairly simple. Now I'm on to the user client. The first user client will be command line.
4/11/2008 - I've posted our first Simulation Results. We can still glean more information from the log file, but this is satisfactory for now. The next task will be building a real network interface. This will probably take a month.
2/6/2008 - Test coverage of the Core, Codec, and Database are satisfactory for now! A few bugs were ironed out along the way that would have otherwise been difficult to isolate, so cobertura has been worth its weight in gold.
