The name pfyshnet is a product of a few issues. Firstly, every respectable peer to peer network must have "net" in the name. However, lacking any cool words to connect to "net" for a network, we thought we'd use "net" as in fish-net. Domain name scarcity and similarity to other names lead us to use "pfysh" instead of "fish".

To sum up, the name doesn't mean anything. It's a place holder. You can suggest a better name, but after so much code and documentation has been written for the name "pfyshnet" I doubt anyone will be too motivated to change it.
